During Isaiah’s time, the Israelites lived a life of unrighteousness and made less-than-praiseworthy decisions.
Despite their decisions, God cared for His people. He desired to reach them with His love.
He wanted to draw them back to the safety and hope found only in Him.
Isaiah heard the call, pondered the vision, and once the seraphim touched his lips with coal, he was assured that his guilt had been removed and sins forgiven.
He then turned from his human insufficiency and looked to the overflowing, temple-filling awesomeness of God.
He heard God, accepted the calling and became one of His messengers.
Isaiah accepted this calling knowing full well it would be refused.
Many of us have had our sins forgiven, answered this call and just like Isaiah we realize the Word will be rejected.
But we are still willing to offer our hearts, minds, mouths, and feet as messengers.
Because God is worthy, and the message of hope is too.
God is faithful and continues to reach out to people with His love even today.
His desire to draw them near burns bright as it did generations ago.
Let us be one of the believers that God continues to use. Ones who are willing to trust and be obedient to Him.
Because He desires that none should perish.
A WORD OF PRAYER

Prepare those who will hear. That they may be saved from a world of sin and hardships. Give us the wisdom to discern Your voice and the courage to complete the journey. Thank You Savior.
