Read: 2 Corinthians 5:16-21 / Matthew 8:5-13
Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. 2 Corinthians 5:20 KJV
Until the Father calls us home, we have the ability to be spiritually reborn.
To be at peace with Him.
Unfortunately, there are still some who have not reached this point.
Those who have not come to know Him.
Those who still have hearts thar are filled with deep-rooted hatred towards Him.
In this passage, Paul was telling the saints how they were “ambassadors for Christ.”
That in all they did regarding the kingdom, was “as though God were pleading through [them]” (2 Corinthians5:20 NIV).
That in all they did, they were representing God.
They were being the living examples of what it meant to follow Him.
To be the ones living according to His commandments.
The same holds true in our lives.
That is why He has called all believers to be “ambassadors’ for Him.
He wants us to go out and let others know what He desires for their lives.
Talking to others about the need for salvation.
Being a living testimony regarding the graces and mercies He can bring to their lives.
Praying that those we speak with will recognize His desire to forgive the sins of all who believe in Him.
That they desire to have a wonderful relationship with Him.
One in which they can become willing vessels.
Ones that have the authority to speak on His behalf.
Today, let us be one who submits to Christ.
To be under His authority.
To begin a wonderful feeling to have a relationship with Him.
It is an honor to be the one chosen to speak on His behalf.
To become an “ambassadors for Christ.”
You will be glad that you did.
It is a great position to be in.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, we know because of our relationship with You we can become ambassadors. One who has the authority to speak on Your behalf. When we are given this authority, we must take the time to listen and do things according to Your way. That we are letting You are speak through us. Not as man would speak. We desire to be ambassadors for You. To be soldiers of the cross. To be followers of Christ. Thank You for using us as a vessel to bring Your message of salvation to others.
