Life is a Challenge – Always Have Hope for Tomorrow

Read: James 1:1-12

Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. James 4:14 KJV

We all know that the weather is something that is unpredictable.

One minute there are blue skies and the next minute it is pouring rain.

Life on this earth is just as unpredictable.

We have our moments where sin can put us in a position where we cannot tell which way we are going.

And we have no idea how we are going to behave.

In this passage James is reminding us that none of us know what tomorrow may bring (James 4:14 KJV).

There may be disasters that come our way.

There will be moments of grief.

That no matter the circumstance we are not to surrender to despair.

We are to remain confident of God’s wisdom, love, and power.

To move on with hope into tomorrow.

Knowing that we can find immense value in some of the things we face.

Because we know that no matter what hopes, dreams, or relationships that have been destroyed in our lives, with God’s help we can start anew.

We are to do like Paul did.

Vowing to forget the things that are behind us and “press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:13-14 KJV).

No matter what we go through, when we remember who we are in the Lord we are free from the past.

And we are on a path that leads us into a more fruitful future.

No matter how painful it may seem at times.

As we walk in His way, our great trials will always lead to great triumphs.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, Life is full of things that can bring sin to our lives. It is wonderful to know that no matter what life brings our way, You are always there. Leading us through every storm that we face. No matter what we face, let us stand fast in the Word. Leaving the past behind and pressing toward receiving the even greater blessings You have for our lives. Thank You for leading us into a more fruitful future.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
