Read: Mark 9:38-44 / Acts 9:38-42
For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.
Mark 9:41 KJV
The smallest, good deed can have an impact on someone’s life.
It is the little acts of kindness from the heart that really matters.
There are times when we think that if we are not able to do something big, we may as well do nothing.
Those are the times we have to remember what the Bible teaches us.
It reads, “For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward” (Mark 9:41 KJV).
A warn smile can help bring joy and lighten someone’s day.
Encouraging words, acts of kindness, or any other small favors are a start.
We may not get the response desired.
That is okay.
We have done what we know to do, and God has taken note of our efforts.
As His children we should never forget that anything we do, as one of His own, has great meaning.
No good deed goes unnoticed.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, our status in life should not keep us from showing kindness to one another. The Godkind of love shown in the Word. We know that anything done from the heart is what counts the most. A smile or kind gesture can have great meaning. Thank You Father for using us to show others what unconditional love is about. For helping and rewarding us as we do Your will. Everything we do in You is effective.
In Jesus’ Name We Pray, Amen
