Today’s Reading: Matthew 9:27-31
Today’s Verses: And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord. Matthew 9:28 KJV
We approach the Lord regarding the different things that are happening in our lives.
Things that can test our faith.
In today’s reading, “two blind men followed [Jesus], crying, and saying, Thou Son of David, have mercy on us” (Matthew 9:28 KJV).
The Lord would try their faith.
They continued to follow Him. Crying out to Him for healing.
“Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this?”
“They said unto him, Yea, Lord” (Matthew 9:28 KJV).
The Savior gives sight to blind souls by the power of His grace.
This passage speaks to the importance of faith and the belief in receiving God’s power and blessings.
With His Word, He puts the cure upon our faith.
He is teaching us to always pray, and not to faint. Even though the answer does not come at once.
“(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)” (2 Corinthians 5:7 KJV).
Today, let us vow to live according to our belief and trust in God. In His Divine mercy and grace.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, we once were blind but now we see. You have given sight to our blind souls. It was done by the power of Your grace. Because we focused on Your Word, You put a cure upon our faith. Giving us the ability to see our situations differently. Teaching us that You can make a way out of no way. Thank You for teaching us how to walk by faith and not by sight. The faith to receive Your power. The faith to receive Your blessings.
In Jesus’ Name we pray, Amen
