Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. Psalms 119:11 KJV
A guilty conscience is a part of human nature.
Most of it comes from our upbringings or from the things we learn in society.
It is not always a good feeling, but we should be thankful for it because it is a gift from God.
One that sends us signals about what is right and what is wrong.
Knowing the difference helps us to make good choices.
Also giving us the opportunity to correct the bad choices that we have made.
To change from our sinful ways.
That is where our knowledge of the Word plays an important part.
It always gives us God’s view of what is right and what is wrong.
And unlike society, it does not change.
It is always arming us with the truth.
A truth that gives us the strength to seriously think about the course of action we are taking.
What we learn, through the Word, will follow us wherever we go.
We can say like the psalmist, “Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee” (Psalms 119:11 KJV).
With the Scriptures as the inner voice speaking to us, we have the best guide to righteousness.
Our hearts will be fed with the Bread of Life and with our lips we should feed many.
Being able to do it wherever we go.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Savior, we know that You came that we might be free from sin. That there will be times in our lives when we sit back and think about the good and the terrible things we have done. Praying that we change our ways for the better. Let us continue to be changed by remaining steadfast in the Word. Being able to say like the psalmist, that Your word have I hid in my heart, that I might not sin against thee. Thank You for showing us what is best for our lives.
