Today’s Reading: Psalms 100 / Psalms 136
Today’s Verse: For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations. Psalms 100:5 KJV
God’s mercy is not temporary or fleeting. It endures through all generations. It will never come to an end.
He has an everlasting love for us. It is strong and deep. An enduring affection that is not temporary. It lasts through all seasons of life.
Praise and our motives for them is important. It shows how thankful we are. That we know where our help comes from.
Psalms 100 is a Psalm of praise. One that encourages us to give praise to God and rejoice in Him.
Praising Him for His unending compassion and forgiveness. Rejoicing because He is our constant source of hope. Our foundation for faith.
Knowing who God is in Himself and what He is to us is important.
“O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever” (Psalms 136:1 KJV).
When we look to His goodness and mercy, we will be more serious in our worship.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Heavenly Father, we give thanks. Thanks for all that You are doing in our lives. We are thankful for Your goodness. For Your faithfulness. Thankful for Your being with us during the trials we face in life. We give You praise for Your steadfast love. One that goes across generations. Every time we think of Your goodness, we will say “Thank You.” We want Your joy. We want Your peace. Every good thang that is found when we acknowledge Your goodness and faithfulness. Thank You everything You are doing in our lives and the lives of others.
In Jesus’ Name we pray, Amen
