By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. John 13:35 KJV
Love is an affection.
It can be based on our kinship or personal ties we have with someone.
God is our prime example of what it means to love.
His kinship and personal ties to us, shows just how much He loves us.
So much so, He sent Jesus to lead an earthly ministry of love.
One in which He showed His love for others.
Taking the time to bless others, serving the poor, the sick and the distressed.
He even gave a command to the disciples that were following Him.
They were to follow His lead regarding the need to love one another.
He wanted them to understand this before He had to leave them.
When we received the love of Christ and became one of His own, we became a disciple.
As disciples of Christ, we are to do the same.
When we do, it is the mark of true discipleship.
Love is a gift from above.
It is a benefit to all of us and promotes the cause of the gospel.
Which is for all His children to live in harmony and peace.
When we show love, others see the love of Christ that is in us.
God’s love is unconditional.
He does not look at who we are or where we come from.
His love is for everyone who would receive it.
When we understand God’s love, receive, and experience it, we will not have a problem with showing love to others.
A love that every heart dreams of is ours when we are true followers of Jesus Christ and live according to the Word.
Leading to an everlasting love in Heaven.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, we know we cannot follow You to heavenly happiness if we fail to love others as You have loved us. That we must truly believe in You, follow You and do according to Your Will. Thank You, because when we found You, we found a love that gives us more reason to smile and tell the world about You.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
