Trust and Receive the Most Wonderful Blessings in Life

Today’s Reading: Psalms 23/Philippians 4:19

Today’s Verses: (A Psalm of David.) The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. (Psalms 23:1 KJV)

As believers we are to have confidence in God’s grace and care.

I grew up on old school gospel.

Rev. James Cleveland and the Southern California Community Choir sang a song called “God is.”

The lyrics to the song said:

“God is the joy and the strength of my life. He removes all pain misery and strife. He promised to keep me. Never to leave me. He’ll never ever come short of His word,”

“I’ve got to fast and pray. Stay in this narrow way. Keep my life clean every day. I want to go with Him when He comes back. I’ve come to far, And I’ll never turn back”

“God is my all and all.”

That is how David felt when he wrote sacred songs and poems of worship.

He wrote: “The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want” (Psalms 23:1 KJV).

He had confidence in God’s grace and care.

These are words that teaches the believer to express their satisfaction in the care of the great Pastor of the universe. The Redeemer and Preserver of men.

We cannot successfully walk through the paths of life unless God leads us into them and leads us on in them.

We have to trust in our Shepherd’s care and hearken to His voice.

The victories of our past experiences teaches us to trust that the goodness and mercy of God will follow us all the days of our lives.

It should be our desire and determination, to seek happiness in the service of God here, and hope to enjoy His love for ever in heaven.

Stay strong in the Word. Keeping close to the duties of it. Following the instructions that He gives.

The Lord can make any situation pleasant, by the anointing of his Spirit and the joys of His salvation.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, the Word tells us in Philippians 4:19, that You will supply all our needs according to Your riches in glory by Christ Jesus. It is up to us to trust, believe, and stand on Your promises. To be satisfied with the blessings of Your house, Always keeping close to the duties of it. Saying like David, “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.” Thank You for blessing and keeping us.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
