Today’s Reading: Luke 19:1-10/ Matthew 18:7-14
Today’s Verses: For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost. Luke 19:10 KJV
We know that it is God’s desire that we all are saved.
Today’s verse is found within the story of Zacchaeus (Luke 19:1-10 KJV).
Zacchaeus was a wealthy chief tax collector in Jericho.
Despite his social standing and reputation, he desired to see Jesus. He was short, so he climbed a sycamore fig tree to get a better view.
Jesus noticed him, called him by name, and invited himself to Zacchaeus’s house.
This led to Zacchaeus’s conversion. It also led to his commitment to restitution and generosity.
“For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost” (Luke 19:10 KJV).
To this day, Jesus is on a mission.
He is still focused on our need for salvation. On our reconciliation with God.
Jesus did not only come for the righteous, but He also came for those who recognize their need for a Savior.
He came into this lost world to seek and to save it.
He is still reaching out to those considered lost in society.
There is still some time left.
Keep praying for those that need a change in their lives.
Keep focused on the things that need to be changed in our own lives.
By the transforming power of faith and acceptance by Jesus, a change can still happen in our lives.
Today is the day, make that change.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, we know that Jesus came to show the universe of Your love and the availability of salvation for all who believe. The more we read the Word and seek Your ways, life will be for the better. You will use us to draw others to You. They will see You in the things that we do. We declare that salvation will come through the transforming power of faith and repentance.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
