All over the world, there are some who are still being prosecuted because of their faith in God.
Because they refuse to deny their love of God, they are physically and mentally abused.
There will be some who will stand fast on their belief and others that will bow down to a spiritual death.
Many of us want to be able to do something for both.
But what can we do?
We know we cannot be everywhere.
What we can do is pray and ask God to intercede on their behalf.
Prayer really does change things.
That is where our testimonies come into play.
Our way of letting others know how grateful we were that someone was praying for us in our time of need.
That when they tell their story the same would hold true for them also.
When Paul was writing to the Corinthians, he shared about the trouble he had experienced.
He was in Asia, the persecution there was so bad that he, and those who were with him, were beginning to lose hope of life itself.
The Corinthian church was miles away, but despite that, their prayers mattered, and God heard them.
It was because of the power of prayer from other believers, Paul was helped.
It is a privilege and amazing to see how the Sovereign One has chosen to use our prayers to accomplish His purpose.
He can bind up the broken-hearted and heal the most painful wounds.
Helping us through all our troubling times and brokenness of our spirits.
Giving hope and joy under the heaviest sorrows.
The favors God bestows on us, are not only to make us cheerful, but also give us the power to be useful to others.
When we should be brought so low as to despair even of life and we feel like we are spiritually dead, we can trust God, who can bring us back even from death.
Our hope and trust are not in vain, and we should not be ashamed of anyone knowing that we trust in the Lord.
Just like the saints of the Corinthian church, it is our duty, not only to help one another through our prayers, but in praise and thanksgiving.
Thanking the Lord for hearing and answering our prayers.
Knowing that both trials and mercies will end in good to ourselves and others.
It is always so good to hear about the things He has brought someone through.
Giving us even more reason to praise Him for all the victories we see or hear about.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, there is always somebody out there in need of prayer. Let our hearts be open to be willing to pray for and with them. Not being afraid of those who do not believe and would try to do us harm. We never know when we might be the one in need. Thank You Lord for the Divine Power that prayer has.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
