True Friendship

Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. John 15:14 KJV

When growing up, we all had someone in our lives that we called a friend.

They were someone we chose to play with.

There when we needed someone to talk too.

We would do just about anything for each other.

As we grew older, we kept in touch. But we also met many more people.

We got to know, like, and trust them too.

We would do all that we could for each other.

We may not be around each other all the time, but we value the love and companionship we all were showing.

The Lord called His followers friends.

When we receive Him, we become a friend.

There is nothing that He would not do for us.

He died on the cross to save us all and He did it out of love.

He walks with us, listening to us talk about our heartaches and desires.

The Lord is our companion for life.

He loves us at home, when we are all alone and even in the streets.

He is forever mindful of our situations and allows us to call on Him any hour of the day.

We are to show our love and gratitude to Him by keeping His commandments.

How has He shown His presence to you?

A WORD OF PRAYER

Heavenly Father, our friends may not be there for us, and we may not be there for them. But You are always there for us. Help us to show how thankful we are by serving You faithfully today.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
