The heart is the muscle that pumps blood received from veins into arteries throughout the body.
There can be a blockage in the arteries that require surgery. The successful removal of the blockage is the beginning of a new life.
When we look at the heart Biblically, it is the inner aspect of a man.
Our “mental process”, where our action and reactions take place.
Our “emotions”, which process our reactions.
And our “will”, which plays a part in our decision-making.
Because sin clogs our spiritual arteries, our ability to connect with God is hindered and we need spiritual surgery to clear them.
When we refuse to accept the need for this surgery, the result is a stony heart.
One that is cruel and unfeeling.
The Lord is our “Doctor.”
He wants nothing more than for us to agree that the removal of any blockage or sin is the best thing we could do.
He promised that with a new heart and a new spirit, it would give us the ability to walk in the newness of life.
That with this change we would be stronger and able to do live and do things according to the Word.
The promises of God are true.
We can take comfort in everything He tells us.
He is an expert when it comes to this type of care for His people.
He will guide us through it all. We must follow His instructions.
How wonderful it is to know that when it is all over, we will no longer have sin blocking our way.
That we are now, because of God’s grace, living testimonies of what a change in heart means.
A change that will keep us referring others to Him.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, we are thankful for the new hope of life You have given us. Savior, we Thank You for the sacrifice You made. Help us to trust You daily as Your Spirit continues to lead us into a new way of living.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
