We Know

Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin. James 4:17 KJV

We often get ourselves into trouble when we delay in doing what we know is right.

We may have been meaning to read and study the Word more diligently but have not.

Or we wanted to help a particular outreach ministry and keep putting it off.

Or there is a behavior that we need to change because we know it does not honor the Lord, leading to very strong disapproval.

We all have good intentions.

The problem with good intentions is that they do no good unless they are carried out.

Our actions must be governed by the law of kindness, as well as truth and justice.

We are always to depend on the will of God.

All we design, and all we do, should be with submissive dependence on God.

He that does not the good he knows should be done, as well as he who does the evil he knows should not be done, will be condemned.

We need to constantly pray and ask God to help and give us the courage to turn our good intentions into good actions.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, doing good now is better than intending to do good later. May we honor You by doing Your will and showing love. Things that are pleasing to You.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
