Sacrifice Is Good

But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. Hebrews 13:16 KJV

Sharing and talking to someone can be hard.

Basically, because it is easier for us to hold on to what we have, to not speak about certain things and keep things to ourselves.

We have the feeling that if we give, that we may be left wanting and what we say won’t be heard or taken well.

God has given to us, and we must, according to our power, give to the necessities of the souls and bodies of men.

We all have a need for something. No matter how big or small.

What we can give, give. What knowledge we have, offer it.

The sin of covetousness, a desire for the wealth of this world, an envy of those who have more than us, is what keeps us from doing this grace and duty.

Paul reminds us that all we have comes from God who wants to enrich us in every way so that we can be generous (2 Corinthians 9).

We must not think ourselves too wise, too good, or too great, to learn.

We can share joyfully because God has promised in His Word that He will care for us even as we generously give to others.

To share and learn puts us in a place of
receiving all of the blessings He has in store for us.

When we believe that God is good, we learn to open our hands and hearts to others.
Remembering that our sharing is not always in the form of money, but of time well spent encouraging and showing love to one another.

We must search the Scriptures, and with a good conscience give respect to all God’s commands, and all our duties.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Lord, You have always taken good care of us. May we continue to think of others and let our hearts continue to be filled with the same love and kindness You desire for us to have towards one another. Let this favor bring forth the fruits of holiness, as the first fruits of glory.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
