Sin is the worst captivity, the worst slavery felt by man.
Isaiah prophesied about sin and strongly urged the people to repent of their ways as the Lord said.
That they were not only to feel sorrow for the sin committed but break off the practice.
We must do the same. We must be doing the good the Lord our God requires.
There is a Fountain of Blessings opened, in which sinners of every age and rank may be cleansed.
Though our sins have been as scarlet and crimson.
Though we have been bound by many transgressions and even led down the roads of backsliding.
It is a blessing to know that there is a pardoning mercy the Lord desires to bestow on each of us.
A pardoning mercy that takes out every stain of sin.
We just need to “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD.”
The Lord is the only one who can cleanse us from sin and give us a pure heart.
And from that point, we are to be doers of the
word, and not hearers only. (James 1:22)
A WORD OF PRAYER
Life and death, good and evil, are set before us. O Lord, incline all of us to live to thy glory. We know that it is only through Your sacrifice that we receive what no one else can give, which is a pure heart. Thank You for forgiving us of our sins.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
