Day by day, week by week, month by month, year by year, we find ourselves doing so much and never taking a real break.
We need to alter or make corrections to how we do things in order to achieve our goals and still get the proper rest.
Changing our situations can be hard, but can be done.
Just like God instructed mankind, in Exodus 20, to rest on the seventh day, He also said to mankind, in Leviticus 25, of the need to rest during the seventh year.
Seven is the number, physically and spiritually, for completeness and perfection.
So when we are resting, the Lord makes sure we have everything we need and live as faultless as possible.
And while we are resting, we should be observant of the good works of the Lord and give Him praise.
A praise of thanksgiving for all the burdens and difficulties He has brought us through.
When we think about seven, think about striving for completeness and perfection in the Lord.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, normally we work five days a week, Monday through Friday, and have two days off. The first day off, usually Saturday, we try to get things done around our homes, run errands and do other things. Sunday is our day of worship and rest. We know our schedules differ and the seventh day differs for some, but we know we can praise You no matter the day or hour, wherever we are. Because we know we can be made complete and strive for perfection through You Lord anytime and anywhere. Help us to readjust our time Lord.
In Jesus name we pray, Amen
