The Best Cure

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. Philippians 4:6 KJV

We all have been excited about something. Be it a new job, relocating, or even taking on a new project. But the unknowns and the challenges we may face, can leave us feeling anxious. There would be many adjustments to make.

When thinking about all that we must do, just remember what Paul said: Don’t worry, just pray (v.6-7).

Paul had first-hand knowledge of what it meant to be anxious about unknowns and challenges. He was shipwrecked, beaten and jailed.

When he wrote to the Philippian church, because they were worrying about the unknowns, he encouraged them to not be anxious about anything, but in every situation that by prayer and asking, with thanksgiving, they should present their requests to God.

These words should be an encouragement to us also. Life is not without unknowns, whether they be in the form of a major life transition, family matters, health scares or financial troubles; remember that God cares and sees all.

He wants us to let go of our fears of the unknown. When we do, He will give us the peace that transcends all understanding and will guard our hearts and minds.

Our minds should be at ease, knowing that God cares for us.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Lord, we know the remedy against perplexing care, is to constantly pray. Prayer not only stated times, but in everything. It is a blessing to know we do not have to be anxious about anything. That we know we can come to You about any and everything. Thank You for who You are and what You are doing in our lives.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
