Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few. Matthew 9:37 KJV
Growing up, my parents would plant a garden in our backyard and around the house.
We also had a couple fruit trees.
We all took part in making sure it stayed well watered and weeds removed.
The fruit trees were looked at to see if anything was wrong with the fruit it was bearing.
When the time was right, following the lead of our father, we would pick the ones that were ripe and ready for harvesting.
Because we were determined laborers, in the end, it produced a harvest that was good for the body.
That’s what God, our Father wants.
Christ is the Lord of the harvest and desires for us to be laborers who are willing to aid in the harvesting of those He loves.
No matter where we are, no matter where we go, as a laborer of Christ, we have to be willing to plant the Word seed and continue to water it, in order to reap a harvest of souls.
In the end we will have even more laborers.
A desire of the Lord.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, we know there is a lot to be done in this world. That many are needed to accomplish it. May our efforts to be good laborers reap a harvest that will bless the kingdom. Bringing a harvest of laborers that continues to grow all over the world.
