Proverbs 4:26 KJV
To ponder means to think about something carefully, especially before deciding or reaching a conclusion.
The way of evil men may seem pleasant, and the best way to deal with something; but it is an evil way and will end badly.
We need to obtain wisdom and let the Lord lead us down the right paths.
The way of the righteous is light; Christ is our Way. He is the Light.
As saints we will not be perfect till we reach heaven, so in the meantime, we must avoid the way of sin.
Hearing the word of God, is a good sign of a work of grace begun in the heart, and a good means of carrying it on.
We must set a strict guard upon our souls; consider our ways, keeping our hearts from doing hurt and getting hurt.
Let us come back to Jesus, confess our sins, accept His promise of forgiveness and return to the right path.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, we shall be enabled to put away a froward mouth and perverse lips. Our eyes will be turned from beholding vanity. We will be looking straight ahead and walking by the rule of God’s Word. Following in the steps of our Lord and Master. Lord, please forgive the past, and enable us to follow thee more closely.
