Being righteous means doing what is right, obeying the law and adhering to morals.
Human nature wants to apply the principle of the majority rule to many moral standards.
Many times our course of action is not what it should be. Causing us more harm than good.
The only way for sinners like you and me to be righteous before God is through our faith in Christ.
The Word of God tells us that Christ fulfilled all righteousness for us and then was sacrificed for us to make full atonement for all our sins.
When we remember God’s precepts, we have everything we need to support us.
The law of God is the truth. It is the standard of holiness and the rule of happiness.
We, as believers, are justified by our obedience to Christ.
May we look to the Scriptures for what is God’s direct guidelines and live by them.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, the laws in the Scriptures are still true and right. We should stand firm on them to this day. May we obey them, because they are the only direct guidelines we have to living righteously and obeying Your laws. Thank You for it all.
