Today’s Reading: 2 Corinthians 4:1-7
Today’s Verse: But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. 2 Corinthians 4:7 KJV
A museum is a building in which objects of historical and scientific items are kept.
Some are artistic. Some are of cultural interest.
Some are amazing treasures that had been hidden for centuries.
They are publicly displayed for all the world to see.
The Apostle Paul wrote that followers of Christ have a hidden treasure inside of them.
He tells us, “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us” (2 Corinthians 4:7 KJV).
Everything we have we have the Father has given to us.
He desires good things for all of us.
In return, we are to share everything we know about Him with the world.
The treasure inside of us holds the message of Christ and His love.
All who are walking by faith are ministers in some way.
We may not be in the pulpit, but we still spread the Word.
We are living testimonies of His goodness.
He sees us as one who can be a helpful and a valuable asset.
God desires that we be servants to the souls of men.
As His servants we are not to let the temptations of this world get in our way.
When we do our treasures becomes hidden.
May we through His Spirit’s working, always share this treasure with someone today.
By God’s love and grace people of every nation can be welcomed into His family.
Share and enjoy the treasures we find while we yet live.
They are even greater after that.
The Word and His love is a treasure to be shared.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, all that You do for us is too wonderful to keep to ourselves. It is pleasant to behold You in our lives. It is even more pleasant and profitable for the gospel to shine in our hearts. May we live and share it with others. We want to be a living testimony of how great You are. Thank You for being the treasure that lives in our hearts.
