We all have to overcome some things in our lives.
In our childhood we went from riding on push toys (toys we moved on four wheels using our feet), to a tricycle (a vehicle that had three wheels, with pedals, steered with handlebars), to a bicycle (a vehicle with two wheels held in a frame one behind the other, with pedals, steered with handlebars attached to the front wheel) with training wheels to help with our balancing.
All of them required us to listen to whomever was trying to teach us how to ride them.
With the bicycle, we started off with two training wheels that were put on unevenly to help us learn to balance ourselves.
Once we had done well with this part, one of the training wheels was removed.
This was the beginning of learning what it meant to balance ourselves.
When we were able to balance on the wheels with one training wheel, that training wheel was removed.
Now the true test of our balancing ability was about to be tested.
It was a trying time, but we were determined to overcome our fears and have fun riding our bikes all over the neighborhood.
It was a true challenge. But because we believed in ourselves, followed the directions we were given and continued to try, nothing kept us from reaching our goal.
We were determined to ride our bike and did.
We didn’t let any doubts or fears keep us from riding.
That’s the determination we as believers in the Word should have.
We should not give heed to anything that is not of God.
He is our Divine Teacher. His teachings lets us know which teachings are false, therefore keeping us from our true destination.
Receive the knowledge that Christ has for us. That is how we overcome anything the world puts in our paths.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord: We thank you for the Word. We thank you for the knowledge you give to us. Without Your loving kindness, we would not be able to overcome all the obstacles in our lives. We celebrate that we are Your children and Your Spirit dwells in us.
In Jesus Name, Amen
