Each morning when we rise, we know there will be someone that will need a Word from the Lord, including ourselves.
We all have gone through certain situations in our lives and can be a comfort to someone else that is going through a similar situation. This comfort also reminds us of how far the Lord has brought each and every one of us.
As an apostle of Jesus, Paul showed gratitude to God for giving him the ability to speak to the people of Corinth.
He took the experiences, which the Lord had given him, and shared them with those who were in need of comfort.
Someone may be grieving the loss of a loved one, having moments of doubts, family situations, personal matters that are weighing in on them, or even questioning their relationship with God. That is when we are to show comfort.
Expressing ourselves to one another is a great form of comfort.
A comfort where we listen, understand and encourage each other to take all of it to the Lord in prayer.
Prayer changes things and we should pray with and for one another.
The Lord gives peace to our troubled minds and calms us from any pains or sufferings we endure.
We are to let our experiences encourage us to keep the faith, hope, praises, thanksgiving and trust in God.
As God has comforted us, continue to pray and comfort one another. Only good will come of it.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Thank you Lord for your Spirit of Comfort. Help us to remember that this comfort comes in many ways. Be it a kind word, thought or deed. The listening of someone’s troubles, pains or concerns. Whatever the situation, we thank you for being the main source of our comfort and making us a vessel to distribute Your comfort.
In Jesus name we pray, Amen
