We all can face some troubling times.
Times when the enemy puts us in situations of hatred towards one another, temptations that keep us off track, and times that produce feelings that we are all alone.
Sometimes we are even our own worst enemy. Causing our own difficulties.
They all have an impact on our lives, both physically and spiritually.
David is a prime example for all of us regarding how to deal with our enemies and how we can be our own personal enemy.
How we must stand firm in the Lord.
When he saw how bad things were getting in his life; enemies coming at him from all sides.
He prayed to the Lord and waited.
Prayed because he felt there was no way out of his circumstances, knew he could not handle things on his own. was finally at the point where he knew the Lord was the only one to talk to and make a confession too.
Waited because he knew that the Lord was the only one who could take care of it.
These are the things we need to do in situation we encounter in our lives. Pray and wait.
The Lord showed him how the enemy would be destroyed.
He has showed us, through the Word, how He can take care of us in any situation. It is up to us to trust and believe.
Just like David, when we see that help is coming and the victory is won, we should sing praises unto the Lord acknowledging His power, His mercy, and His never ending covering in our times of trouble.
Keep your trust and faith in God. He will not let you down.
A WORD OF PRAYER:
We sing praises unto you oh Lord. Praises thanking you for our enemies. Thanking you for helping us to see that sometimes we are our own enemy. Thanking you that we didn’t have to fight this battle alone. We will continue to sing unto you a new song because of the spiritual renewal you always afford us. In Jesus Name, Amen
