Today’s Reading: Matthew 4:1-11 KJV
Today’s Verse: “But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” Matthew 4:4 KJV
None of us know everything. We seek guidance from our parents, teachers, friends, and our church.
There are many books that try to help us with many situations. We call them “self-help” or “do-it-yourself (DIY)” books. Grant it some are good, but the information can change. They are updated all the time because people and products change.
But the greatest book to read is the Bible. God wrote it. He told us that we should live by it (Matthew 4:4 KJV).
The Bible is our A-to-Z guide on life and faith. It contains everything we need.
We find Scriptures that provide guidance. They help us to apply biblical truths to everyday life. There are verses, stories and passages that bring light to our situation. Answers that do not fail. We gain wisdom.
“How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth! Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path” (Psalms 119:103-105 KJV).
It is important for us to seek God. To seek what He is saying every single day of our lives. We cannot live without His Word. It is the one thing that will always lead us in the right direction. The one thing that will never fail us.
“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not” (Jeremiah 33:3 KJV).
We can call on Him any time of the day. Our prayers will always be answered.
He will guide us and reveal to us things we need to know. He will lead and guide us on the things He wants us to know so that He can work through us.
We must know His Word. We must let His Word guide us in all truth.
The more we seek Him, the more we will find Him. The more we will receive the right answers to all our questions and concerns.
The Bible’s Words remain true. They will never change.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, we will always need guidance in life. Times when we need an answer to remain on the right path. We need to remember that our single purpose is to love and serve You. There is nothing more important that we can do than seeking Your guidance in everything we do. We are never alone. The Bible is our guide. We treasure Your Word. Thank You for always being by our side.
