Right Living – Breathtaking Results Now and in the End

Read: Philippians 1:12-26

For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

Philippians 1:21 KJV

The death of those whom we love will always bring sorrow and deep pain.

It is a natural thing for us to feel sorrow for those who grieve.

We can express our sympathy, but we must do it in a positive way.

Death is only a great loss when we know that the person had lived a worldly or carnal life.

Those are the times we express our sympathy in a way that gives encouragement to the loved ones left behind.

Praying that they keep their faith in the Lord.

For the passing of a loved one who knew the Lord, we know our loss becomes their gain (Philippians 1:21 KJV).

We will feel sorrow and we will express it.

But we have an even greater reason to rejoice.

Rejoicing because they have been delivered from all the evils of life.

And that their sunset in this land is to be their sunrise in another.

They may be absent from the body, but they are present with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:8 KJV).

They have moved to a place where there is freedom from pains, illness and sorrows that fill the earth.

Let us continue to live according to the Word.

We always have a reason to rejoice and to glorify Christ.

Even in our sorrows.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, the death of someone we love is always a great loss. There will always be someone who had a difficult life and someone who put their trust in You. We pray that all will come to know the power of faith and Divine grace. That they will know what it means to serve Christ in this world. That we all be delivered from all the evils of life and possess all that is good. Always taking comfort in knowing that to be absent from the body is to be present with You. Making it possible to enjoy all the benefits of Heaven.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
