Today’s Reading: Philippians 1:12-20
Today’s Verse: According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death. Philippians1:20 KJV
As Christians we seek the knowledge of God.
We find valuable information through the Word.
We can also get it through testimonies.
The ones given by those who have put their trust in the Lord.
First-hand knowledge can make it easier for someone to receive what the Lord has for them.
But there are times when someone may be unsure about sharing their faith with others.
This happens when we do not feel we are capable of explaining it.
Scared that we may say something the wrong way.
That we might get a negative reaction to wat we say.
The fear of the questions that someone may ask can keep us silent.
We have a fear of looking foolish if we do not have the right answer.
We lack confidence in our knowledge of salvation through Christ.
Those are the times we have to remember that God has given us what we need.
The Holy Spirit is our guide and will give us the words to say.
The world is being hit with so many philosophies that are not Bible based.
That is why the Father has instructed every believer to spread the Word.
To present it with confidence and boldness.
Letting nothing keep us from talking to others about Him.
The Word is the only thing that can change the lives of lost souls.
Their faith in Christ is the main reason for our boldness.
The desire that everyone receives His blessings is what we want.
Eternal destiny, in Heaven, is the end goal.
The more we live according to the Word, it is ours.
The Apostle Paul was in prison.
Yet, he welcomed every opportunity to tell others about Christ.
He had earnest expectations and hope.
He was bold and not ashamed.
Letting Christ be magnified in his body, whether it be by life, or by death (Philippians1:20 KJV).
He remained focus on the gospel’s life-changing powers.
He was not worried about the possibility of negative reactions.
Like Paul, we are not concerned about ourselves.
We are to remain steadfast in the Word.
We are to rejoice and never be ashamed to talk about our faith in God.
Knowing that our troubles may serve to the good of many.
There are hurting people all around us.
The Father wants us to express a genuine interest in them.
Asking Him to open a door for us to share our faith with them.
Knowing that He will answer our prayer. That He will give us the words to say.
Our earnest expectation and hope is not to be honored of men,
But for all to be strong during times of temptation, contempt, and affliction.
Knowledge of the Word is the way.
The Word is everlasting. It is without change.
The saving of souls never ends.
People need to know the Savior.
There will always be an opportunity to reach out to those around us.
As we do, notice their expressions. Ask how they are doing.
The more we walk in His way, the more we will feel stirring in our hearts.
Ones that let us know who may need a word of encouragement.
Watch and see the work of the Lord in someone’s life. It is always a wonderful experience.
We have no need for worry.
Knowledge, wisdom, and grace belongs to us.
He will always surround us with the protection we need.
Joy will be felt.
It will make us more willing to provide good service.
More eager to spread the Word.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, we know our lives have great meaning. You have given each of us something to share with the world. Like Paul may we have earnest expectations. Let us have hope. In nothing will we be ashamed. We will handle all things with boldness. We will tell anyone who will listen about Your wisdom and grace. Hoping that what we say encourages them to seek You and Your ways. Thank You for the grace, wisdom, and mercies You bestow on our lives.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
