Perfect Peace: Wonderful Life When You Really Trust Him

Today’s Reading: Philippians 4:2-9

Today’s Verse: Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 KJV

None of us know what the day may bring.

Some situations will be good, while some will be not so good.

We wish everyday would be peaceful and without drama.

But peace is not without some anxiety.

As believers, we can rest assured that our Heavenly Father is near and in control.

We find peace when our minds are focused on the Lord.

When we put all our trust in Him.

In this passage, Paul was writing from a prison cell.

He was describing to the people what it meant to have internal peace.

Telling the people how he appreciated their support.

How it had brought him comfort to know someone was thinking about him.

But also reminding them what it meant to have internal peace through God.

Confirming his belief that by giving their concerns to God it would result in peace.

We all know it is hard to have a quiet spirit in times of trouble.

It is natural for us to become anxious.

We serve a God who is “Supernatural.”

He is living inside of us in the form of the Holy Spirit.

Giving us the support we need to live daily in a peaceful manner.

There will always be something that challenges our faith.

But no matter how bad it may seem, our peace is grounded in Christ.

It cannot be broken.

All we have to do is trust and believe.

Never forgetting, “[God] wilt keep [us] in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on [Him]: because [we] trusteth in [Him]” (Isaiah 26:3 KJV).

The Father’s all-powerful hand is protecting and providing for us.

“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” Philippians 4:6-7 KJV

Living in a world that is full of conflict, He gives us every reason not to be afraid.

In His time and His way, God will always give us a solution to our problems.

Perfect peace will always come when we keep our hearts and minds stayed on Him.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, peace always comes when we have a feeling that we are in Your hands. When we find favor in Your sight. Our hopes for heavenly blessings are being fulfilled. Your peace will keep our hearts and mind through the Savior. It will keep us from letting our troubles cause us to sin. All we have to do is put our trust in You. Thank You for providing us encouragement through the Word. For the sacrifice Jesus made. For the Holy Spirit dwelling in us. For all the guidance we receive. It is calming to our spirits. We really do appreciate it.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
