Today’s Reading: Psalms 93
Today’s Verse: The LORD reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the LORD is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved. Psalms 93:1 KJV
This is one thing we should never forget.
“God is still on the throne. And He will remember His own. Though trials may press us and burdens distress us, God is still on the throne. He never forsaketh His own. His promise is true. He will not forget you. God is still on the throne.”
Today’s verse causes us to recognize that God holds absolute and supreme power over everything. He is the ultimate authority. He can make decisions without needing external approval.
His supreme splendor and inherent glory is much like an ancient king’s robe. The king’s robe was a symbol of power and status.
His power is present everywhere at the same time. A power He uses to uphold and protect His creation.
God is the Creator and Sustainer of the universe. He brings order to complete disorder and confusion.
He has Supreme Authority over all things. He has power and control over all things. He has the right to govern all that exists.
In this great work, He has given all power to the Lord. The One who died on the cross. The One who has made atonement for our sins.
He was “clothed with majesty.”
He not only can pardon but deliver us from sin. He will protect all who put their trust in Him. His Word is true. All the saints may rely upon it.
To this day we can still proclaim God’s enduring reign.
We can “say among the nations, The Lord reigns” (Psalms 96:10 NIV).
He will always do the Father’s will according to His purpose.
Where there is purity, there shall be peace.
The Savior is armed with majesty and with strength.
The more we acknowledge His power, we will have the victory over our current circumstances.
In the end there will be a great sounding. We will joyfully acknowledge all that He has done in our lives. All that He will do.
We will shout: “Hallelujah! For our Lord God Almighty reigns (Revelations 18:56 KJV).
Let us carefully look to see if the truth of the kingdom is set up in our hearts.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Heavenly Father, we know You are the king of the universe. That You are robed in majesty. You are armed with strength. The world has been established by your power and cannot be moved. We trust in Your steadfastness. We find security in Your unchanging ways. May we always be reminded of Your might. Especially when we face the challenges of life. We never want to have our trust in You shaken. We thank You for the shelters You have placed in our lives. You are powerful and supreme.
In Jesus’ Name we pray, Amen
