His Powerful Love – This is Grace In Our Worst

Today’s Reading: Romans 5:6-11

Today’s Verse: But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8 KJV

Let me start by saying, none of us can say we are perfect in all our ways.

The Bible has told us, “For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners.” But “by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous” (Romans 5:19 KJV).

We know that Adam was the one who was disobedient. That Jesus was the obedient One that gave us the ability to be made righteous.

Today’s verse reminds us that God showed His love by sending Jesus to die for us. Even while we were still sinners.

Even in Romans 8:38-39 KJV, we read that nothing can separate us from His love in Christ.

The Savior has a deep love for us. He is always offering us security. Ones that are greater than anything this world or human relationships can bring. His love is so deep that no earthly or spiritual force can overcome it.

His love has a strong effect on our lives.

“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:9 KJV).

He is telling us that the peace provided through Christ will protect and secure our inner selves. That it is not like earthly peace.

“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:17 KJV).

His peace offers a lasting and deep comfort to the heart.

Throughout the Scriptures we can see how deep His love is for us.

They touch the heart in a way no other earthly power or relationship can.

Look in the mirror. See what the Lord has done in your life. You cannot count all the wonderful blessings He has given you. Knowing there are still more to come.

But you can give Him thanks. Thanks for all the love He has shown. For the giving of His life that all might be saved.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Heavenly Father, we know that Christ died to save us. Not in our sins, but from our sins. Words can never express how thankful we are. Thankful for all that You are doing in our lives. For waking us up this morning. Letting us see a brand-new day. Thank You for saving us from sin. Each day we want to live an abundant life. Every day we want to show You how thankful we are. We are so glad we know You. That You are a part of our lives.

In Jesus’ Name we pray, Amen
