Tremendous Jesus on the Mainline – Better Call Him Up

Today’s Reading: Jeremiah 33:1-13

Today’s Verse: Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. Jeremiah 33:3 KJV

This reminds me of the song “Jesus on the Mainline.”

It says, “Jesus on the mainline, tell Him what you want. Jesus on the mainline, tell Him what you want. Jesus on the mainline, tell Him what you want. Just call Him up and tell Him what you want.”

It is an expression of our faith. That we know when we prayer, God is listening.

That we can freely approach Jesus with any needs or desires. Just like we would call someone on the phone.

In today’s passage He told us, “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not” (Jeremiah 33:3 KJV).

God has a willingness to reveal things to us. Ones that give us deep understanding. Feelings are so strong that they have a profound effect on our lives.

There will be a deep and powerful emotional experience. Previous unknown truths will be revealed to those who seek Him in prayer.

He has told us, “Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them” (Mark 11:24 KJV).

As the song says, “Call Him up, call Him up, tell Him what you want. Call Him up, call Him up, tell Him what you want, Call Him up, call Him up, tell Him what you want. Just call Him up and tell Him what you want.

If we expect to receive comforts from God, we must call upon him.

Prayer changes things. Trust in His power.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, we know that prayer is the key, and faith unlocks the doors to the many blessings You have for us. You promised that our sorrows would not be long. That we would be filled with joy. Because where the Lord gives righteousness and peace, He will give all needful supplies. We will have comforts, as sanctified by the Word and by prayer. We just have to call upon You. Thank You for all you have done for us. For all that You will do.

In Jesus’ Name we pray, Amen
