And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation. Revelation 5:9 KJV
It is so rewarding to listen to great music and lyrics.
There are so much talent to be found in the many artists performing.
From the singers to those who play the instruments, we can find what is pleasing to our souls.
The lyrics hit home and bring joy to our hearts.
A way to acknowledge that Christ has redeemed His people from the bondage of sin, guilt, and Satan.
Music and songs have a wonderful place in our lives.
In the Bible, “harps were instruments of praise.”
That there were “vials were full of odours, or incense, which signify the prayers of the saints: prayer and praise should always go together” (Revelation 5:8 KJV).
Showing that our songs of praise will continue beyond our walk here on earth.
In Heaven, we will be singing “a new song” to the Savior.
Telling Him, “Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation” (Revelation 5:9 KJV).
Who could ever imagine what it would sound like.
To hear “the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands” singing praises unto the Lord (Revelation 5:11 KJV).
The Lord has put song in the hearts of each of us.
We may not sing in a choir here on earth.
That is okay.
In Heaven, we will be adding our voices to His Heavenly Choir.
Singing songs of praise forever.
We will be singing and shouting in victory.
What a day of rejoicing that will be!
We know the day will come.
We should be looking forward to being able to hear the Heavenly Choirs as they give praise unto the Lord.
To be able to join in with them and sing praises to the Lord.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, we love to sing Your praise. There is nothing like the harmony and love felt by the lyrics to the instruments. We may just be the ones singing in the background, but that does not matter. We know that there is a spot for us in Your Heavenly Choir. That You have a home prepared for us in which we all will be singing praises unto Your Name. It will be a time of rejoicing. We know it will be a glorious time when we all get together and sing praises unto You. Thank You for the new song You have put in our hearts.
