As parents, we want the best for our children.
We want to protect them as much as we can.
That’s why, from an early age, we teach them the difference between right and wrong.
To be mindful of the company they keep.
We take disciplinary actions to express our disappointment when they forget what they were told.
By doing this, we are giving wisdom and showing love to our children.
A wisdom that continues to keep them from doing anything foolish or evil throughout their lifetime.
A love that shows we care about them and their well-being.
As children of God we grow wiser by the corrections and chastisements we receive from our Heavenly Father.
Just like any parent, He is doing it because He loves us and wants the best for us.
He is doing it for our good.
The wisdom and knowledge He bestows on us will keep us from being caught up in any mischief or evil actions.
Just like He is doing with us, we must exhibit the same with our children.
Give them the care and attention they need to guard them from spiritual harm.
Love and teach them in His way.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, as children we all have been chastised by our parents. Done to keep us on the right track. Helping us know right from wrong. Thank You for the chastisement we receive to keep us walking in Your way. For the wisdom and knowledge we can use no matter our age. We are all Your children.
In Jesus name we pray, Amen
