The saying, “seeing is believing” is said to mean that if you see something yourself, you will believe it to exist or be true.
This is despite the fact that it is extremely unusual or unexpected.
We all can find ourselves in this position.
We need to see something before we can accept that it really exists or occurs.
Thomas exhibited this when he would only believe that Christ had risen if he could see him.
Rather than allowing Thomas to stay in a state of unbelief, the Lord appeared before him.
But not without letting him know that his faith should have allowed him to believe, not his sight.
The same holds true for us.
When we give our lives to Christ, we are saying that we take God at His Word.
That we trust in him for our salvation.
We are living by faith and not by sight. (2 Cor 5:7 NIV)
We acknowledge and show that, “Believing is seeing.”
Believing and seeing the Word manifested in our lives daily.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, we know that by reading and hearing the gospel, our belief is strengthened. Allowing us to embrace that You are our Lord and Savior. Risen from death, that we may have life through our belief in You. May we continue to walk in faith and not by sight.
In Jesus name we pray, Amen
