Therefore I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me. Micah 7:7 KJV
Strategy is a plan of action. It is how we approach things.
We all have visions of what we would like to do in our lives.
We set goals, examine what our needs are and how we will handle things.
Then we get started, with the hope that things will go as planned.
That we will achieve our goals.
In anything we try to accomplish, our strategy should include the Lord.
He is the One we should be putting our faith and trust in for the help we will need.
We know we will have disappointments, but our hope reminds us of His truth and power during these times.
Micha found this to be true.
He was shocked at how Israel had turned away from God.
He expressed how miserable he felt knowing that the faithful had been swept away from the land and not one upright person remained (vv. 1-2).
But instead of letting it keep him down, he began to focus on his true hope.
His hope was in the Lord, because he knew the Lord was near and would hear him. He just needed to wait on Him (v. 7).
He knew that the Lord would help him focus on the vision He had for his life, set the goals He had in mind and help him to accomplish them.
We all can maintain hope in our times of trouble and hard times.
Like Micah, we must watch, wait, and pray.
Remembering that the Lord hears our cries, even when our circumstances are overwhelming.
Remembering that those are the moments we cling to and act in response to our hope that the Lord is our strategy and will help us through it all.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, we know there are things in our lives You want us to achieve. Things may happen that cause us to begin to lose hope. Help us to remember that You are there for us. All we must do is call out to You in faith and hope. Believing the You hear our hearts’ cries. Remembering to always watch, wait, and pray.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
