Salvation is free.
The blood of Jesus paid the price for our redemption.
He came down from Heaven and rescued us.
Something that could not be bought with anything man possessed.
For many it is hard to believe that God would do this.
But God had already decided to grant special favor towards His people.
To send His Son to die for us and forgive us our sins.
To manifest grace upon us.
Luke 22 gives us a look at the agony that came over the Lord as He prayed in the garden.
How He looked ahead and saw the physical and spiritual suffering He was about to take on in dying for our sins.
Because of His sacrifice, we were cleansed.
By faith we were made one with the Lord.
Giving us the comfort in knowing that where He is we shall be also (John 14:3).
It only takes us confessing our sins, repenting of our sins, and putting all our trust in Him.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Savior, we know You paid a debt that You did not owe. All in an effort to show Your love for us. A desire to see us live a life full of love and grace. Let us never forget that our salvation, although it free, was purchased at a high cost. Thank You for the sacrifice.
