Better Relations

Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.  Leviticus 19:18 KJV

While we don’t often like to admit it, but holding a grudge is a common way we respond to the feelings we have when we have been wronged.

Holding a grudge is when we harbor anger, bitterness, resentment, or other negative feelings long after someone has done something to hurt us. We even sometimes wrong ourselves and harbor a grudge.

But we don’t allow our wrongs to lessen the love we have for ourselves. We forgive ourselves.

In like manner, we should love our neighbor.

Instead of bearing grudges and creating an unpleasant environment, we should go before God.

Acknowledging our wrong and asking for deliverance.  Praying for the person whom we have a grudge against, and, if possible, take the necessary steps to resolve any issues.

Grudges will fade when we walk in the love God has bestowed on us and desires us to show others.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Lord, we know we must be mindful of obeying God’s precepts. We are not to pick and choose how we handling things.  We must aim at standing complete in His will. The more we do, the happier we will be. The happier  those all around us will be.  Continually praying that this will be.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
