Many consider meekness to be a sign of weakness.
Meekness is defined as an attitude or quality of heart whereby a person is willing to accept and submit without resistance to the will and desire of someone else.
In the case of Christians, this is God.
Jesus is our example of one who was meek. During the time He lived on earth, He submitted Himself to the Father.
While He was speaking to His followers, He was telling them to be submissive to God, not in the sense of being weak, but to put their strength under God’s control.
When we quietly submit to God, we can bear anything and our meekness can keep us in a place of happiness, even in this world.
Meekness is the power of God’s strength working through us, promoting wealth, comfort, and safety.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, Thank You for showing us that there is great strength in being meek. That when we submit to the Father, we have all the help we need to make it through anything we face. Being meek is not weak, but strong and wise. We are learning a lot because of Your sacrifices. Thank You Lord.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
