Grace And Truth

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
John 1:14 KJV

We have all heard the phrase “seeing is believing.”  Meaning we need to see something before we can accept that it really exists.

The same holds true when it comes to our belief in God and the Word.

We need to see something happen before we believe it.

In this part of the Gospel, John is telling us about the character of our Divine Teacher.

How Christ was in the world, took on our nature and dwelt among us.

How the Son of the Highest came, in the form of a servant, full of grace and truth, to save a lost world.

John bore witness of Jesus Christ and the fact that He came to instruct and to redeem mankind.

All in an effort to get man to believe on Him and what He desired for their lives.

To this day, there are those who don’t believe and just like John, we are to bear witness of the same facts.

Letting others know that by following His instructions, we have the ability to be redeemed.

The Lord cared so much about us that He laid aside His glory, left Heaven, and became man to redeem us.

“Believing is seeing.”

Believe in your heart that the Lord exists and see things work themselves out.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Lord, Thank You for caring so much about us that You laid aside Your glory, left Heaven, and became man to redeem us. May we never forget that You are full of grace and truth.  Always pleading for us before the Father.  Let us be a witness, just like John, letting all mankind, wherever we may be, know of the sacrifice You made on our behalf.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
