Showing some form of identification is common in these days and times. It is a way of making sure that we are who we say we are.
Before Christ left, He gave the disciples a commandment.
They were to love each other for His sake, and according to His example.
As one body and soul, they were to seek what might benefit others and promote the cause of the gospel.
Christ is telling us, as His followers to do the same.
When we live according to the Word, we are identifying ourselves as one of His disciples.
That we are doing His work and spreading His Word and doing it all in love.
When we do, our Spiritual Identification is automatically shown.
It is showing that Christ not only lives in us, but through us.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, You have told us, in Matthew 12:33, “Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.” Love is one of these fruits. May we endeavor to keep the unity of the Spirit by loving one another with a pure heart and walking humbly with our God.
