Psalms 118:6 KJV
We all know that babies crawl before they walk.
Watching them take their first steps can be frightening and exciting.
Frightening because the concern is, “How long is it going to take until they really walk on their own?” “Will I catch them before they fall?” Once they start walking, “Is everything harmful out of their way?”
Exciting because the child is beginning the process of being able to get around on their own, but trusting that someone is close by if they should fall.
That is why it is good to trust in the Lord.
When we decide to give ourselves to Christ, we are just like a baby taking their first step.
The world puts many obstacles in our way. Obstacles that can cause us to sway.
We have to learn to balance ourselves to keep from swaying left or right.
That balance comes from standing straight up and praying according to the Word.
We need not fear what man can do unto us.
The Lord is always by our side to catch us when we fall.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord we thank you for being there even before we took our first steps. Thank you for being by our side as we continue on this journey of life. We shall not fear because there is nothing that man can do unto us. We know that you are always there.
