2 Chronicles 16:9 KJV
When we, as Christians, find ourselves in situations where we havie to struggle with enemies of the Lord, remaining faithful through it all is not always easy.
We may move unsteadily or in a way that shows a lack of confidence.
That is what Asa did when he looked to get help from the Syrians instead of God.
A prophet of the Lord gave him a reprimand or scolding regarding his making a league with Syria. But he did not listen.
God is not pleased when He is not trusted and we rely more on flesh than in His power and goodness.
Just like Asa, we have had too many experiences of God’s goodness towards us to ever doubt He would not be there for us.
Let us not be deceitful in our hearts and only trust in God when we have nothing or no one else to trust.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, in all conflicts and sufferings let our hearts be made perfect towards You and You only. Keeping the faith patience and obedience that God has commanded us to do. Thank You for always being there for us.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
