We all have felt sorrow.
It is a feeling of deep distress or emotional pain.
A feeling that can be caused by loss, disappointment, or any other misfortune suffered by oneself or others.
In this verse, Christ was telling the disciples how to handle His impending death.
That their sorrows would soon be turned to joy.
Joy because they would see Him again and rejoice.
Just like the disciples, we have our moments of sorrow too.
These sorrows are turned to joy when we allow the Holy Spirit to be our Comforter.
When we rejoice, because we see Christ living and moving in our lives.
Nothing can deprive us of our joy.
Joy, a fruit of the Spirit that is available every day of our lives.
Keep it. Never let it go.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, let us be encouraged. Knowing that sorrow may come but we have joy in our hearts to overcome it. The joy that comes when we pray and find comfort through the Holy Spirit and Your Word. Thank You for our joy.
In Jesus name we pray, Amen
