Asking questions about things in our lives is a common thing.
Many times, before we get an answer, we have to tell the person what our thoughts are on the subject.
It’s a way to determine what direction to take to properly respond.
That’s what was happening when a certain lawyer stood up and questioned the Master.
Questioned Him regarding eternal life and how to obtain it.
He had to tell Him his thoughts on what was written in the law.
What he interpreted it to mean.
The Master then acknowledged that he had responded correctly.
The same holds true when we have questions of the Master.
We all must be prepared to tell the Master what we are thinking before we get His response.
We know He already knows the answer.
He wants us to speak it out loud so we can see where we are in our understanding.
And He doesn’t mind if we have additional questions.
He wants us to be and stay on the right track when it comes to living according to the Word.
The answer the lawyer gave still holds true to this day.
We are to love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, strength, and mind.
To be helpful and love our neighbor as we love ourselves.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, Thank You for allowing us to come to You with all our questions and concerns. For giving us all the answers. Answers that can be found in the Word. A prime example being the question of the lawyer, the response he gave You, and Your letting him know he was correct. We love You Lord and will love our neighbors according to the Word also.
In Jesus name we pray, Amen
