A rival is a person that tries to defeat or be more successful than another.
They have a need to stand out from the crowd.
When it comes to doing the work of the Lord, we all have a part to play.
We are not to feel like we are in competition with one another or have a need for recognition.
All our lives and what we do matters.
Just like the apostles told the people in Acts 14, we are all of the same nature and are called to tell others about turning from their ways of thinking and doing. To give it all to God.
May everything we do give recognition and glory to God, not ourselves.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Thank You Lord for showing us and giving us examples of how to spread the Word to Your glory. That it is not about us but about You. May we stay humble and steadfast in Your Word.
