It is a blessing to be a loved one or friend who tries to be there in the time of need.
Many of us find ourselves in these positions.
We try to make a genuine effort to imagine how we would feel or act if we were in the same situation as the person we are talking too.
We may not have suffered the same thing, but may know someone else who had and their outcome.
Christ is mindful of the trials and tribulations we face.
He became man, and was tempted.
Christ passed through the same temptations but continued perfectly free from sin.
He is the greatest assistance and support any of us could have in the times of hardship and distress.
Comfort has a greater effect when it is coming from someone who has been through the same.
Christ bore it all and is our Comforter.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, we are thankful for our loved ones and friends. For the assistance and support they try to give in times of hardship and distress. But we are ever so thankful to You, because we know You have been through it all. That You understand, care and will always be there for us no matter the time of day. You are the greatest Comforter.
