Every year on July 4th, we celebrate Independence Day.
A day that represents freedom.
It represents our country’s liberation from Britain.
A day that was to give Americans certain rights that couldn’t be taken away.
Among which was life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
When we accept Christ in our lives , every day is Independence Day.
A time to celebrate the fact that He gave His life, so we could be free.
When we accept Christ, our true independence begins.
An independence that allows us to distinguish ourselves from those that live without Him in their lives.
An independence that shows we trust only in God’s mercy and grace.
If we are to remain free, we must remember the name of the Lord in all we do.
He is the true source of life, liberty and happiness.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, we are thankful for this day designated as Independence Day. The recognition of freedom for America. But the greatest Independence Day was the day You gave Your life for us. May we remember and celebrate Your name every day.
