Golden Years

They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing.  Psalms 92:14 KJV

The life cycle of a tree begins as a seed, then it grows into a sprout.

It grows into a young tree.

It continues to grow and eventually becomes a mature tree.

In its maturity, it can reproduce seeds so the cycle can begin again.

At the end of its life, the tree decays into a snag.

Giving nutrients to the ground or also providing essential shelter for wildlife.

The same holds true for our Spiritual life cycle.

It begins as a seed.  Which is the Word planted in our lives.

We start off young, continue to grow, and as time goes on, mature in wisdom and knowledge.

Knowing that by God’s Word and His Spirit, we shall receive all that we need to keep us alive and be fruitful.

That no matter how up in age we are, as one of God’s trees, we still have the strength of grace.

The ability to spread the Word.  Providing the nutrients and shelter to those around us.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Lord, no matter our age, we are all growing older.  Thank You for the seed of knowledge that was planted in our lives, through the Word. For the growth that we obtained.  So that even in our old age we can still bring forth fruit. Giving You honor and rejoicing in the things You have done for us.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
