The word “Root” comes from the Latin word radix, which means “starting point.”
A healthy root is one that is properly cared for, watered, weeds removed, and obtains needed nutrients from the Sun.
All the substances that provide the nourishments essential for growth and the maintenance of life.
We all have a “starting point.”
It begins when we draw near to God with a heart filled with faith.
We hear the still small voice of the Lord, the Son of God, sprinkling in our hearts, washing us with pure water and giving us the nutrients, the Word, we need to grow.
Making it possible for us to grow in the Word and weed out anything that is not good for our growth.
The Son is the substance we need, because He provides the nourishments essential for our growth and maintenance in this life.
He is our “Root.” Our “Starting Point.”
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, we thank You for being the Word planted in our lives. We know we have to make sure to do thing properly in order to obtain the nourishments You have for us. Nourishments that will lead to a healthy life. You are the substance for all our needs. Staying rooted in the Word is our goal to continue to receive the nourishment we need for a healthy, prosperous life. Thank You.
