There is nothing wrong with ambition.
A desire and determination to achieve success.
How we do it is what makes the difference.
We must not try to take matters into our own hands, try to rush things and cause more grief than good.
We must not let our ambitions cloud our judgment.
Causing us to do things that do not please the Lord.
And when we go before the Lord with the matters at hand, we are not to tell Him how, when or where we want something done.
To not let the desire for fame and worldly status overtake us.
Our prayer should be for the wisdom, knowledge and grace to know how to suffer through it all.
Let us not do as the disciples did and display unfaithfulness.
Continue to praise Him for giving His life as a ransom for us.
Knowing that He, alone, is the One to rely on to help us see the fulfillment of our desires.
That His love for us is greater than fortune or fame.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, You gave Your life to attend to the needs of us all. Let us not get caught up in the ambitions of this world that we forget from whence we have come. That we could not have made it this far had it not been for your grace and mercy. May we continue to follow You as You order our steps according to Your Word.
